Max Snyder is a PhD candidate at UC Berkeley ARE interested in environmental and labor economics. His research uses natural experiments to explore solutions to challenges related to climate resilience, the energy transition, and economic inequality.
His work has been funded by Resources for the Future, the California Policy Lab, the Giannini Foundation, and the Opportunity Lab. He has previously worked for environmental research and advocacy groups like the Environmental Defense Fund and the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Chicago.
Outside of work, he loves music, cooking, and biking. He was born and raised in New York City.
