I am a student in the 4th year of the PhD program at the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics (ARE) of the University of California, Berkeley. My fields are development and labor economics.
My research is directed at understanding constraints to efficient production in low-income settings. This ranges from frictions that prevent farmers from adopting technologies in agriculture to aspects that make investing in micro-enterprises difficult for poor households. I also study the downstream impacts of the adoption of productive technologies in agriculture to understand the heterogeneous effects these can have on farming households, agricultural production, and local labor markets.
