In August 2019 students and colleagues held a conference at the University of California at Berkeley to honor the work of AAEA Fellow, Professor Peter Berck, who had died the previous year on August 10, 2018.  The 2019 Berckonomics conference highlighted work in many of the diverse areas Professor Berck contributed to so richly.  This August 2020 AAEA (virtual) session is designed to give a taste of the papers presented at that memorial conference last year and the work that Professor Berck inspired.

Two of the papers to be presented at this session are co-authored by Professor Berck and two ARE graduate students going on the job market this year, Gabe Englander and Scott Kaplan.
