Berkeley ARE Welcomes Alexandra Hill and Kirill Borusyak

Kirill Borusyak will be joining ARE as an assistant professor from the University College London Department of Economics where he has been a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) since 2019. Prior to that, he spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher at Princeton's International Economics Section after receiving his PhD at Harvard in 2018. His research covers topics in international trade and applied econometrics.

Alexandra Hill will be joining the department as an assistant professor of Cooperative Extension with an emphasis on the economics of diversity and equity. Her research focuses on factors that affect the productivity, labor supply, and health of U.S. agricultural workers. She received her PhD from UC Davis in 2019 and has since then been an Assistant Professor of Agricultural Economics at Colorado State University.
