Social Networks and Technology Adoption: Evidence from Church Mergers in the U.S. Midwest

Fiona Burlig is an Assistant Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, a Faculty Research Fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, and Deputy Faculty Director of EPIC-India. She is an applied microeconomist with research interests in and at the intersection of energy, environmental, and resource economics and development economics. Prior to joining Harris, Fiona was a postdoc in the Department of Economics at the University of Chicago. 

Andrew Stevens is an Assistant Professor with broad research interests in agricultural and food policy. As an applied microeconometrician, he pairs modern empirical methods with rich data to credibly answer policy-relevant questions. Through Andrew's research, he aimS to better understand human behavior, characterize interdependencies between human and natural systems, and quantify the intended and unintended consequences of public policy.
