born in Lisbon, signs her
paintings "Su", the way the first syllable in
"Sofia" is pronounced in Portuguese. She took painting
and drawing lessons to improve her techniques.
She has exhibited in the "Aula", Campo Grande, Portugal
in 1989,
in the New University of Lisbon, Portugal, in 1995 and
in Voulez-Vous, Berkeley, in 2001 (solo exhibition).
Su is interested in precision and realism. Her
paintings evoke recognition of familiar places,
sometimes from new perspectives.
