We gathered in Carcavelos, near Lisbon, at NOVA School of Business and Economics (NOVA SBE), for the World Congress in Environmental and Resource Economics for a week, and had a small dinner in Cascais with ARE alumni and current students who were still around on the last day. The World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists (WCERE) is the international conference of environmental and resource economists organized every four years by the World Council of Environmental and Resource Economists Associations (WCEREA) -- coincidentally always during World Cup years.
