Our beloved Graduate Student Advisor, Carmen Karahalios, celebrates 10 years in her role in ARE, making an enormous difference in the lives of many ARE PhD students. We gathered today at our ARE awards party to thank and honor Carmen. A photo book featuring heartfelt messages and photos from current and former students, ARE faculty and staff, arrived just in time for Mother's Day. Perfect timing, as many of her former and current students see Carmen as their Berkeley mom. ¡Gracias, Carmencita!
