For the previous year and a half post-graduation I was a postdoc at U British Columbia, working on a similar honey bee project in Canada funded through Genome British Columbia.
I'll miss Berkeley always; after nearly 10 years at UC Berkeley as a undergraduate and then graduate student, it's become a part of me. Thanks to ARE and CNR for all the memories, friendship, help and support!
Statement
Hi! I am currently a postdoc at U Illinois working with Kathy Baylis on the Bee Informed Partnership, a USDA NIFA extension project on the U.S. honey bee population, beekeeping industry and bee disease management. In the fall I will begin teaching at Humboldt State University in the Department of Economics.
Research Interests
My research broadly falls within agricultural, environmental and resource economics. I focus on the economics of ecosystem services, which includes a mixture of bioeconomics, production economics, valuation, and optimal control.
