IPALP/PPLPI Project
This section component provides a systematic survey of existing patterns of household production, employment, asset holding, expenditure and other conditions. The micro results are further divided into three parts:
a. Summary statistics and tables extracted from LSMS survey samples and
other detailed data.
b. To make the micro results on initial conditions more transparent, we include
a synoptic atlas of digital maps presenting selected microeconomic results.
c. To better understand the behavioural basis of household economic activity,
we deploy a suite of econometric techniques to model household-level production
systems, labor supply, and consumption. These detailed estimates will be focused
on elucidating the role of livestock in local production, consumption, markets,
and income determination. This section surveys the recent history of aggregate
indicators to set the stage for examination of the more detailed determinant
of household welfare.
