Climate Change Center: ARE Faculty are at the forefront of studying the economic impacts of climate change on the California Economy.

World Congress. The Department co-hosted the 2002 World Congress of Environmental and Resource Economists in Monterey, California in June. Over 850 presentations were given during the four-day program.

Tony Fisher elected AERE President. ARE Professor and Chairperson Tony Fisher has been elected president of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE).
