April 20, 2005

As I announced in lecture this morning, due to student demand I will hold office hours in the Tolman computer lab today.

The links to groundwater related resources that I mentioned in lecture are now on the course website. (logically enough, find them on the links page.)

Section this week will cover irrigation technology.  I emailed you these notes on Monday.  They are now on the course website as well. print these notes and bring them to section.

As I mentioned to you in my email of 18 April 2005, the Course Reader Volume 2 can be found on reserve at Moffitt Library.

April 6, 2005

In order to encourage you to get down to business on your term paper, Professor Hanemann would like to make the 1-page term paper proposal assignment mandatory.  See the term paper guidelines on the course website for a description of what to include in your one pager.  This needn't be a polished product.  ***Please turn in your one-page term paper proposal during lecture on Wednesday, April 13.***

As of Friday, April 1 (no joke), Volume II of the Course Reader had arrived at Ned's.

Section next week will be in the Tolman Hall Computer Lab.

February 28, 2005

Contact me with your preferred email address If you didn't receive email from me today regarding an invitation to hear Professor Hanemann discuss his research at an informal brown bag seminar.

Due to student demand, section this week will be in the Tolman Computer Lab, Tolman 1535.  Wednesday section will be at the usual time, 2pm-3pm.  Friday section will be from 4pm-5pm because the Computer Lab is not available during our regular time.  If you are in the Friday section, are not available at that time, and want my assistance with Problem Set #2, then email me and we can work out a time.

February 14, 2005

Here are some comments pertaining to problem sets.  You will be expected to hand in a hard copy of your assignment in lecture the day the assignment is due.  Hand your assignment to Chris at the end of class.  Regarding questions you may have for Chris on problem sets...  I will try to be as helpful as I can be.  The surest way to get my help is to ask questions during office hours.  I reserve the right not to reply to questions asked the day before the assignment is due (and the day it is due as well).  If the assignment is due on a Monday then I may not have time to respond to questions posed on Saturday.  If you want help from me on the problem sets, then don't wait to work on the assignment until the last minute.  Rather, start the assignment early and then should you have questions there will be a better chance that I will be able to offer assistance.  A final note that since we did not explicitly announce that Problem Set #1 was to be handed in during class, we will allow you to hand it in during class on Wednesday.
