I will take roll on Tues and Thurs, September 19 and 21.  If you are not in at least one of those classes, I will assume that you are not taking the class and I will not assign you to a group for the "group presentations".

I have two new papers (see miscellaneous articles box).  The first is an introduction to a special issue on globalization and inequality, in the journal World Development.  The second is an article from The Economist on a shipment of toxic waste to Cote d'Ivoire.

To subscribe to the class email list:  Send email to majordomo@are.berkeley.edu with "subscribe eep131" in body.  You will receive a reply with instructions to confirm your subscription.  Follow these instructions.

The webpage Environment and Energy Daily, at http://www.eenews.net/EEDaily.php is a great source of environment-relevant news.  In particular, check out Greenwire at http://www.eenews.net/Greenwire.php and their TV interviews at http://www.EandE.tv
