Yes, assuming the "uniforms" serve the required protective functions and are not just for fashion. Sec. 6738 of the Cal pesticide regs, referring to handlers, starts out as follows: Sec. 6738. Personal Protective Equipment. (a) The employer shall: (1) Provide all required personal protective equipment, provide for its daily inspection and cleaning (according to pesticide labeling instructions or, absent any instructions, washed in detergent and hot water), and repair or replace any worn, damaged , or heavily contaminated personal protective equipment. Leather gloves previously used to apply only aluminum phosphide or magnesium phosphide pesticides and which have been aerated for 12 hours or more shall be considered cleaned; . . . . . You can find (and search) the complete set of pesticide worker safety regulations, as revised last year in accord with the WPS, at http://are.berkeley.edu/APMP/pubs/pest3.html . --Howard ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Howard Rosenberg Cooperative Ext Specialist, Ag Personnel Mgt 320 Giannini Hall Dept of Agricultural and Resource Economics Berkeley, CA 94720 University of California, Berkeley 510/642-7103 http://are.berkeley.edu/APMP/ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ From ???@???
