I thought that I had heard somewhere that this sort of status was extended to soil drench, soil injections, and possibly soil granular applications of some compounds. The obvious example would be imidacloprid (Merit, Marathon, Provado, Admire). However, Marathon's REI is 12 hours - and it is meant only for use as a granular or drench - Not foliar.
