Alix is an Assistant Cooperative Extension Specialist in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. She specializes in international trade and environment issues. Research projects Alix has been involved in have examined incentives for investment in tropical agriculture research and development, causes of land-use change in Latin America, the role of developing countries in climate change control, and the valuation of health benefits from water quality improvements. She received her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Harvard University in 2002.
